Imaging Techniques

Imaging techniques that may be used to diagnose and monitor your kidney cancer include: ultrasound, MRI, CT, x-ray or bone scans.

The downloadable chart provides information about each scan: how long it takes, when it is likely to be used, how detailed the results are, how safe it is and where you would receive the scan. Hopefully this information will help you prepare for the scan type that is required during your treatment.
