Tyler’s Run Hackney Half Marathon in aid of kidney cancer

by | Jun 24, 2014

.

In 2006, Tyler’s mother was diagnosed with kidney cancer and consequently lost one of her kidneys. She was in remission, but the cancer has since returned.

Tyler run the Hackney Half Marathon on 22 June in her honour. He has also organised a few fundraising events including bag packing at local grocers in Fulham and a BBQ picnic at one of his local parks.

Tyler raised over £1400 and is planning to run a full marathon in 2015!

Kidney cancer patients are not alone and there are lots of resources available after diagnosis, including our support services: Forum and Careline. Our forum, careline and experience of other people with kidney cancer can offer an emotional and practical support. Our website is a great source of information about the disease, including our Understanding Kidney Cancer booklet and kidney cancer fact sheets, written specifically for patients and their families and truly helpful informational videos, made by leading oncologists exclusively for the fund.

We are very happy to announce that Tyler completed Hackney Half Marathon in 1h hour 46 minutes 6 seconds ! Thank you Tyler for all your support and fundraising for Kidney Cancer UK.
