Influenza Vaccine Information

by | Sep 17, 2021 | Uncategorised

Public Health England have advised that there is no clear guidance for kidney cancer patients/survivors who have reduced kidney function but no diagnosed kidney disease. Patients who have been told they are not eligible for the free flu vaccine should be aware that in the paragraph headed “Other Groups” on Page 15 of the Green Book, their clinicians have been asked to use their judgement to offer a vaccine to anyone outside the clinical risk groups whose underlying conditions might put them at serious risk from flu itself and/or the possible complications of having flu, so patients might want to ask their GP or specialist for further advice.
