Ed Gerrard – My Kidney Cancer Journey

by | Oct 3, 2016

.

On Friday 23rd September, Kidney Cancer UK held its annual Presidents Dinner at The House Of Lords, Peers Dinning Room in the glorious settings of The Palace of Westminster. Our speakers include our Chairman James Whale MBE, Game of Thrones star James Cosmo and key speaker Ed Gerrard, a kidney cancer patient given a life expectancy of 12 months in Christmas 2015.

Ed makes it clear he is a fighter and a positive thinker who will not give in to the disease. His speech is, as he is, open, honest, brave and powerful and we thank him very much for sharing his journey and being with us.

We are deeply saddened to report that Ed passed away on June 5th, 2017. He was a brave man and we were blessed to have his support and friendship. Our condolences are with his family and friends.
