by | Jun 1, 2014 | Events News

A number of whales has been donated in aid of James Whale MBE fund for Kidney Cancer, by celebrities, artists and TV presenters, which are available at our online auction.
We have kept a few to be auctioned on 6th June at Clarendon Fine Art in London. All proceeds from both the online and gallery the Auction will help us make sure that all the children have access to the best possible care and professional support. We are very proud to be supported by The Prime Minister David Cameron, The Mayor of London Boris Johnson, Sir Quentin Blake, Lord Jeffrey Archer, Jonathan Pugh, James Whale MBE and Mark Laughlin.
Please have a look at the whales which can tempt you enough to join us on the night at the Gallery auction and bid for those unique whales to support us in our continuous work to help children diagnosed with kidney cancer.
Don’t miss the opportunity to bid for the whales and reserve your place now here! The entry is FREE but please contact the Fund to RSVP as spaces are limited. If you cannot join us on the 6th of June, you will be able to bid on the whales by calling the Gallery on 0207 499 0947.
We are extremely grateful to all our supporters and bidders (current and future).  Every year in the UK, almost 9,000 people learn that they have kidney cancer. The incidence of kidney cancer is slowly increasing in the UK, possibly due to an increase in the number of cases detected when a patient has a scan for an unrelated condition. This is because scans are performed more frequently in hospitals and there have been huge improvements in scanning technology over the past 30 years. Kidney cancer is now the seventh most common type of cancer in men and ninth among women in the UK.
