Declan Gregain-Smith – From Surgery to Recover video

by | Oct 30, 2021

.

This is the second video from Declan Greggain-Smith documenting his kidney cancer journey.

The first you can view HERE was about his diagnosis to surgery, and this is about his post surgery recovery.

Less than 3 weeks following my first symptom, I had a robotically-assisted radical nephrectomy to remove my left kidney along with a large tumour.
The following videos were recorded in the days and weeks following surgery and cover both my physical and mental recovery. The journey continues and good days follow bad days and so on. As a friend once said “you spend a lifetime recovering from cancer” and I agree. While the physical scars may heal, the mental ones take longer and journaling has helped me process and diarise my thoughts and feelings.
Thanks Declan

Thank you to Declan for allowing us to share his story with you all.
