Premiere of Status Quo film "Bula Quo!" in aid of the Kidney Cancer UK
The premiere of Status Quo’s new film ‘BULA QUO!’ in aid of the Kidney Cancer UK and Nordoff Robbins, at the Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square, London on Monday 1st of July was a huge success. We hope that everyone enjoyed the night and would like to thank Status Quo for supporting James whale Fund for Kidney Cancer.
Status Quo’s frontmen, Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt, move from gold discs to the silver screen as they take the lead roles in their very first feature film which is set to hit cinemas screens across the UK on 5th July. An action-comedy caper directed by Stuart St. Paul, with its tongue firmly in its cheek and a great cast including Laura Aikman, Craig Fairbrass, American stand-upcomic John Lovitz and of course, the rest of Quo – Andrew Bown, John ‘Rhino’ Edwards and Matthew Letley.
Set against the beautiful, lush and tropical backdrop of Fiji, ‘BULA QUO!’ sees the rock legends caught up in a game of cat and mouse after they unwittingly stumble across an illegal gambling den. Witnessing the murder of the latest luckless victim of the gang’s favourite pastime, Russian Roulette, the band flee the scene clutching the only evidence that can bring the bad guys down. As the local ‘godfather’ bays for their blood, can their luck hold out? In true James Bond style, with the help of sea-planes, speed boats, jet skis, golf carts and scuba gear, ‘BULA QUO!’ follows Status Quo and their entourage as they attempt evade capture, stay alive and escape paradise unscathed.
