If you would like to, or are thinking about, setting up a kidney cancer support group (maybe you are a health professional such as a cancer nursing specialist at a main hospital) here are some short tips on what to consider:
We are here to help you, so contact us for advice on setting up your patient support group.
We can help with making any necessary contacts and in engaging the right people at your local major hospital, we can give you lots of help and guidance with the admin of starting a group, we can arrange a visit to talk about how you can get started and share ideas and best practice, and provide you with information materials and PR support if required. We’re here to support you in helping others as your group moves from an idea to reality.
If you would like to talk about how Kidney Cancer UK or Kidney Cancer Scotland can help you with setting up a patient support group, please get in touch with us on 01223-870008 or fill out the form below and we will contact you.
If your group is already running and you would like a representative of Kidney Cancer UK or Kidney Cancer Scotland to come and be a guest speaker at one of your meetings, get in touch, we’d be delighted to come and share what we do in our work. These group work as a two-way street as we love to get feedback and find out what your group members would like us to do for them, and to talk about how patients can get more involved with us.
We offer grants and support so get in contact using he form below and see how we can help you start a local support group.
