Kidney Cancer UK Qualified Counselling Service

by | Jul 3, 2023 | Kidney Cancer UK News | 0 comments

Kidney Cancer UK are proud to provide the UK’s first dedicated Kidney Cancer Counselling Service available to those touched by kidney cancer across the UK.

Our service is available to patients, carers and close family affected by kidney cancer through appointment only and is conducted one-to-one by our qualified counsellor over the telephone.

Counselling offered is a therapeutic, supportive and safe space for clients to feel able to talk confidentially about any issues they are experiencing.
Each caller will have an initial separate assessment to ensure their needs and expectations for counselling are met.

If you would like to access counselling, please ring 0300 102 0101 or fill out the web form HERE. (t&c’s apply).

Malcolm Packer, Kidney Cancer UK CEO, said: “We are very proud to provide a qualified counsellor through our Health Professional’s team to patients. The benefits this brings to patients, and those touched by kidney cancer, is enormous. As hard as the NHS works, the effect of reduce funding means CNS’s, Consultants and the support teams are unable to spend as much time helping patients by listening as they would like to and we can help fill that void.”

If you would like to access our counselling service, please visit the web page by clicking here and completing the short contact form or book an appointment on 0300 102 0101. Please note that we will endeavor to provide counselling at the earliest possible date but there could be up to a 12-week wait between initial assessment and first session.

*The service is free to call though some networks may charge. Please check with your service provider if in doubt.
