Kidney Cancer Scotland Patient Day 13th November
Kidney Cancer Scotland Patient Day
A very big thank you from Kidney Cancer Scotland goes out to all the patients, carers and healthcare professionals who made this event such a fantastic success. A total of 50 delegates enjoyed a full and mixed agenda delivered by leading clinicians, patients as well as interactive sessions where everyone joined in. One of the delegates, Sarah Scott from Aberdeen University invited anyone who is eligible to take part in a Work and Cancer Project.
Patients were presented with seminars on various issues surrounding kidney cancer, which were chaired by a prominent name in the field, Dr Duncan McLaren, Consultant Clinical Oncologist from Edinburgh Cancer Centre who is a specialist in Genito-Urinary Oncology and has experience in the use of systemic treatments for kidney cancer. A report on the day is now available and can be downloaded here – Scottish Patient Day report
Early feedback has contained the following encouraging remarks; – congratulations on today – there was a lovely atmosphere – a well organised day – happy to help again in the future.
So thank you once again to all who came along to our Kidney Cancer Scotland Patient Day, and if you missed the event this time we have already started to look at our event programme for 2014. Just keep checking the Events Diary on this website for the dates and locations of the next series of patient days.
See you there!
