Khalsa lads destroy dads in charity match in aid of Kidney Cancer UK
Fantastic charity football match in aid of kidney cancer
On Sunday 1st of June at Wolverhampton Training Ground, Sporting Khalsa Under 15’s triumphed 11-3 over the dads in a charity match in aid of Kidney Cancer UK.
The event was put together by a family of one of the players, whose aunty Rita (pictured on the right) sadly lost kidney cancer battle in January this year. She worked at the Molineux stadium for 17 years.
The boys team had already scored 6 before the adults got their first touch of the ball. Sarah who helped to organise the event said: ‘The game finished at 11-3 to the boys team who still looked ready for action, whereas we were ready to call for paramedics for some of the unfit adults.’
Huge amount of family & friends came to support and put their hands in their pockets. There was a raffle after the game and together they raised a fantastic amount of £300. More information about the match can be found here.
We want to thank the family and the Club for allowing this event to happen!
