The 23rd April 2018 is the inaugural year of Kidney Cancer UK’s St Georges’ Day Supper at the Victory Services Club, London to raise funds to directly increase the number of Kidney Cancer UK Health Professional’s working within hospitals and kidney cancer communities across the country.
A Kidney Cancer UK Health Professional’s role is to support kidney cancer patients needs through visiting hospitals and cancer units across the country, offering support to newly diagnosed patients having on-going treatment and their families in person and through our free Careline. They also promote the services offered by the Charity to Clinical Nurse Specialists, Oncologists, Psychologists and support workers as well as reaching out to the policy makers; N.I.C.E, the SMC and the Welsh Assembly whenever a new drug recommendation is considered, a Kidney Cancer UK Health Professional will attend the reviews with a patient to offer representation. This is a role which cuts to the core of kidney cancer patient care and support and your help will be gratefully received.
If you would like to join us, tickets are £60 per person. This includes a drink on arrival, a three-course meal with wine and musical entertainment during the evening.
