Half, Full, Double …Marathon for Kidney Cancer UK

Ali (pictured on the left after her Rock n Roll Liverpool marathon challenge) is raising money for kidney cancer by taking part in the ‘half, full, double’.…..which is the Liverpool half marathon, Liverpool full marathon (Rock and Roll 25th May 2014) and the Tour of Merseyside (52 miles in a week in races throughout Merseyside).
Ali completed the second of her three challenges on Sunday, the Liverpool Marathon. Her time was 4 hours 52 minutes and 34 seconds. This is great as it was under 5hours (which was her aim) and 21 minutes faster than her last one! Well done Ali!
Ali’s mum (pictured on the right with Ali) successfully fought kidney cancer in 2007 and has made a full recovery. Since she had her operation, they completed a 10k together raising money for renal cancer.
Ali has also completed 3 marathons and 7 half marathons but never a double one. She said ‘this is the big challenge especially with them so close (Marathon 25th May and Double the week commencing the 6th July). I’m retiring from running after this (I promise!!!!). I will be running with my long time running buddy Namita (pictured on the right after Edinburgh Marathon).
