Update on the Glasgow to Edinburgh Canoe Challenge 2017

by | Jul 21, 2017 | Events News | 0 comments

Kidney Cancer Scotland had a great meeting with the Glasgow to Edinburgh Canoe Challenge 2017 (#Glas2Ed2017) organisers this week and it’s really picking up pace. We’ve had great interest, so much so we have had to open registration early! It’s £15 to register and that buys you a t-shirt on completion. If you pass on the t-shirt, you will automatically donate £5 to Kidney Cancer Scotland!

There’s lots of support planned for along the route, and we are finalising details for a base for ourselves on each day, as well as drinks and snacks for all your supporters.
Make sure you get your support team planned so they can be cheering you on from the towpath.
The technical bit and the rules are;
• You can either paddle alone or work in a team of up to 12 paddlers, in singles, doubles or fours kayaks or canoes.
• The Open Relay class allows up to 12 paddlers in any combination of canoe and/or kayak.
• We are receiving requests to paddleboard the event, which is a first!
Non-members will need to complete this Scottish Canoe Association Day Membership form CLICK HERE, which allows you to complete in this SCA Event.
We will keep you updated as more plans come to fruition for the weekend. We can’t wait to get in the water!!
