British Association of Urological Nurses (BAUN) Annual Conference

This year’s British Association of Urological Nurses (BAUN) annual conference is being held on Monday 24th and Tuesday 25th November at the SECC in Glasgow.
The Programme
Pre-Conference Workshops: on Sunday 23rd November half day workshops are being held on Urodynamics, Flexible Cystoscopy, TRUS and Prostate Biopsy, Radiology for Nurses and Sexual Dysfunction. The aim of the day is to provide specialist nurses with theory and practical experience.
Day 1: Highlights of the first day of conference include the Eileen O’Hagan lecture – Testicular pain as well as a number of other presentations including; The role of chemo/ radiation in muscle invasive disease, Active surveillance a debate on current protocols and Certification: The American approach.
Day 2: The programme divides into subsections of oncology and benign urology. With expert speakers covering each area, there will be something on offer for everyone. If you are working in either of these areas, or would like to find out more about them, this day will be the one to attend if funding doesn’t cover the whole event.
Abstracts:
The free paper and posters are always an important part of the conference. This is your opportunity to share your research and ideas, communicate good practice and engage with like minded urology professionals.
