Kidney Cancer Patient Day Review Survey – The Results

JWF logoThank you to all who took part in our survey which reviewed our patient days in order to improve their scope, availability and structure for 2014. We are very grateful for the responses and will take them into consideration when planning the events for this year.
From the survey we have seen that you have been happy with the previous kidney cancer patient days, and based on your responses we aim to run our patient days in locations that are easily accessible to as many of you as possible. We will try to respond to your concerns including diet, latest treatments, accessibility to cancer drugs and side effects. Many of you are also worried about the lack of awareness of kidney cancer symptoms amongst medical and health professionals. We are very pleased to announce that we are in the process of launching the Patients and Professionals Project – a new on-line course for recently qualified GPs and hospital registrars providing them with a further insight into the treatment of the disease. The project aims at raising the rates of early diagnosis and improving the care of patients with kidney cancer.
We are planning to organise this year’s patient days in Scotland, London and the South of England in the Autumn.
