Wednesday 10th October: All Wales Patient Day in the Metropole Hotel, Llandridodd WellsKidney Cancer UK is pleased to announce the very first All Wales Kidney Cancer Patient Day that is due to take place on Wednesday 10th October 2012 at the Metropole Hotel, Llandridod Wells starting at 10:00.
The Kidney Cancer UK have been running these free to attend patient days throughout the UK and have organised mini information days in Wales, but this is the first time there is an ALL Wales Patient Day.
The aim of the Kidney Cancer Patient Day is to provide Kidney Cancer Patients and their carers much needed information on treatments, dealing with side effects, support, dietary, complimentary therapies and the opportunity to meet and chat with other patients.

Wednesday 14th November: Scottish Patient Day in the Glasgow Hilton
Building on the success of the first Scottish patient day in October last year, this patient day promises to be extremely valuable for patients and their families in Scotland. With presentations from Scotland’s leading kidney cancer experts and research groups, this patient day should not be missed. Come along to learn about the latest treatments for kidney cancer, how to manage side effects to drugs and research into new treatments for kidney cancer. There will be an opportunity to ask questions in the afternoon in an interactive question and answer session with the experts. Email Karen McNee for more details
Wednesday 21st November: Manchester Patient Day in the Park Royal Hotel, Warrington
Professor Robert Hawkins, Cancer Research UK Professor and Director of Medical Oncology at the University of Manchester and the Christie Hospital NHS Trust, will chair the Manchester Patient Day. He will also be giving the plenary presentation on his very exciting research with high dose interleukin-2 (HD IL-2). The day also includes presentations on kidney cancer surgery, palliative care, the work of the clinical nurse specialist, and patient support. In the afternoon, there will be an interactive question and answer session with some of the UK’s leading kidney cancer specialists. Email John Chapman for more details
